Privacy

A compliance site that tracked its readers would be a poor advertisement for itself. This one does not.

The short version

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Microsoft Clarity, no Hotjar, no session recording, no heatmaps, no pixels, no fingerprinting.
  • No third-party scripts. No embedded widgets, no social buttons, no comment platform, no advertising network. Fonts are served from this domain.
  • No cookies set by this site. Because we set none, there is no cookie banner to click.
  • No account, no login, no profile. The regulation checker runs entirely in your browser; your answers are never sent anywhere.
  • One optional email address if — and only if — you ask for regulation alerts.

Who the controller is

UK Holiday Let Software Directory is operated by the company behind Zugrow, which is the data controller for this site. The ownership page sets out the relationship in full. This site holds its own data under this notice: it is not pooled with, shared with, or synchronised to any other property in the same ownership.

The regulation checker

Everything you select — nation, what you let, whose home it is, the night band and the income band — stays in your browser. There is no request to a server when the checklist is produced, nothing is stored, and no result is logged. Closing the tab ends it.

Regulation alerts

If you submit the alerts form, we send two pieces of information to our email provider, Brevo (Sendinblue): the email address you typed, and the nation you asked about, so a Welsh registration alert does not land in a Cornish inbox.

  • Lawful basis: consent. You choose to submit the form, and the purpose is stated next to it.
  • Double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are not added to the list until you click it. If you do not click, nothing further happens.
  • What we send: an email when a rule we track actually changes. No newsletter, no product marketing, no vendor promotions, and your address is never sold, rented or passed to any vendor listed on this site.
  • Unsubscribe: one click in any email, or ask us and we will remove you.
  • Retention: until you unsubscribe, or until the alerts programme ends, whichever is first.
  • Processor:Brevo acts as our processor for sending. We store nothing about you on this site’s own infrastructure.

If the alerts programme is not yet live, the form will tell you so and nothing at all is recorded.

Server logs

This site is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard operational request logs — IP address, user agent, path, timestamp — for security and reliability. Those logs are the hosting provider’s, are not used to build any profile of you, are never joined to the alerts list, and are not analysed for marketing.

Links out

Vendor sites, government sites and third-party review sites have their own privacy practices, which are their responsibility rather than ours. Following a link from here tells us nothing: we run no click tracking and no redirect service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent, or object to processing. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email address and a nation. Email corrections@strsoftware.co.ukand we will act within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the change will be described here rather than quietly applied. Because we hold so little, material changes should be rare.
