Our verdict

Touch Stay is the closest thing this category has to a UK-native specialist. The operating company, JAM Start Ltd, has been registered in Uckfield, East Sussex since December 2014, and the pricing calculator offers GBP alongside USD, AUD and EUR — which is more than most rivals here manage. The product is deliberately narrow: a mobile guidebook that works offline, an AI chatbot layered over it, an upsell widget, a review prompt and scheduled guest messaging. It is not a check-in, ID-verification or payments platform, and buyers wanting those will need a second tool. Its integration list is the broadest we found, and it is the only product here connecting to SuperControl and Anytime Booking, both of which matter to UK cottage operators; Bookster, eviivo, Freetobook and Guestline are absent. The weakness is price transparency. Touch Stay publishes a calculator rather than a table, and the figures are rendered client-side, so we could not capture a first-party GBP price. Third-party directories quote figures between roughly US$8 and US$15 per month and disagree with each other. A UK buyer should get a written GBP quote and confirm VAT treatment before committing. Trial is 14 days, no card required.
